The Great Framerate Non-Debate

Then etymologically.
Anyway, to answer your question, probably only to blind people 30fps and 60fs are the same ;)

What do you mean with "60hz precision gameplay"?
Input lag is reduce at 60fps but AFAIK 60fps don't make controls more precise/accurate.
AFAIK dead-zone in the controller don't change at 30fps or 60fps.

Correct me if I am wrong of course.

The study i posted in this thread found that you are more accurate at higher frame rates.

This gen the big debate is mostly between 1080p@30fps versus 1080p@60fps. But only because many people have 1080p60hz TVs.

In the next gen when consoles will output by default 4K, what framerate choices will we have?

30fps vs 60fps?
60fps vs 120fps? I noticed that many 4K TVs currently sold are already 120hz
30fps vs adaptive-sync unlocked judder-free framerates? But a adaptive-sync option is also possible in all possible configurations.

I do not think 120 fps is in the current HDMI standard....

HDMI 1.4a 2160p@30
HDMI 1.4b 1080p@120
HDMI 2.0- 2160p@60

Then some QuadHD (4k) display are HDMI1.4a

Also EBU standardized 2160p@60hz for broadcast with Rec2020 color. So your current 4k display may be obsolete. [emoji16]

Edit. Obsolete in not future (1 year) proof.

Edit You have to check out DisplayPort 1.2a.
