The Callisto Protocol [XB, PC, PS, XGP]

I also don’t think that it’s right to now put the blame on consumers for pre-ordering a product which should really be delivered in a good state… right?? 😉 the onus is on the people making and releasing the product, not consumers!!

That would be a fantastic place to live, only it's not where any of us actually live! :nope: The phrase caveat emptor (roughly translated as buyer beware) has been in use for more than 1,500 years. I applaud companies that take QA seriously, and will bump release if a game needs more work, but I've learned that having more modest and realistic expectations results in less disappointment.

It reminds me of a line Nick Fury says to Steve Rogers in Winter Solider, "S.H.I.E.L.D. takes the world as it is, not as we'd like it to be. And it's getting damn near past time for you to get with that program, Cap London Geezer." :runaway: You can't make everybody else change, but you can change yourself.

Been playing a bit more of this. Graphics, especially in RT, are amazing. But after spending some more time with it Im starting to dislike the game =/

The game is currently reduced by 55% on Steam. Otherwise I only saw it at full price on various sites.

On the consoles it has been much cheaper for a long time. That's where physical media has an advantage. If there are few or none physical copies the digital price can remain high for a long time.

Its also on sale for £4.87 at instant gaming for anyone who wants to own a copy

Man that is soooo tempting. I really liked the look of this game but my backlog is getting ridiculous now. Could it be worth the price of a beer to try it out plus know I've got it as an option to play even though I probably never will?...

Is a beer really that expensive ?

Depends where you go and what you buy. Certainly at a festival it can be even more!

Also worth noting that if you're buying in the UK the above price for Calisto Protocol excludes VAT so it works out to £5.88. Still dirt cheap but made me pause for a moment.... but I succumbed in the end and am now downloading it :D At this point I think I just collect games for the pleasure of owning them without any intention if actually playing them!

Christ, I was just paying almost £9 for a 440ml beer at Lambeth Country Show last weekend(which is now actually a full on festival). And £6 is basically normal for even a standard lager here in London at a pub. It's crazy. I hate going out now. And I miss when Lambeth Country Show was smaller, free, open and you could just bring your own drinks and hang out and enjoy watching some duck wrangling on the cheap.

Sorry for the rant, just so tired of how insanely expensive everything has gotten for no great reason.

It's been cheaper at CDKeys, just to let y'all know.

Was £3.99 at one point, and now is £4.89.

Gamestop had a flash flush of the PS5 version for $5 last year if you could find it in stock at a store. I've only put a few hours into it. This is not exactly an innovative game lol but if you are looking for the "Dead Space genre" you'll find that here.
