TGS Kameo Gameplay Video: First Truely next gen gameplay vdo

I will say that Kameo has gotten better looking by leaps and bounds since E3. I don't know what Rare was up to before E3 and what they've been doing since, but I can only hope that PDZ has gone through the same upgrading process.

And the video is pretty nice. :)

Looks good, but I think the video quality isn't that great... I wish people would release direct feeds to this kind of stuff. Makes making comparisons much easier...

I *highly* suggest watching the 40 minute long Gamespot video preview. It's very impressive, IMO. The lighting, details, complex mapping, number of models, physics, load times, post processing effects, monster design, etc. all come together to make a really nice package I was not expecting from Kameo. It thought it would look like it did at E3 and forever be the GC->Xbox->X360 port. There have been other games I thought presented a really next-gen feel from gameplay, and Kameo was just added to that list.

There were a few times in there were I was strongly reminded of Pixar. And I'm not trying to start another Toy Story thread nor am I suggesting parity between Pixar films and Kameo. Rather I'm saying that Kameo is much closer to a Pixar film than any other game I've seen.

That was pretty nice( I watch the Gamespot vid)

The visuals are impressive and the art direction is pretty good. Awesome stuff.

wow, 50-60 sidequests, 10 special characters, each characteer has advanced powerups, multiple-character combos, CO-OP!

this game is looking to be much better then I ever thought.

I thought the video was good with kameo finally making the jump to next gen quite lovely... but I do have a nagging question... nearly all videos of 360 games even with what appears to be direct video feed has a terrible interlace artifact at the edges of every object... what is that due to?

I noticed it in the cod2 video also.

Compression?

This game looks rather stunning now. Nice to see it progress like this.

is there any direct feed video example? could it because of blur effect combined with encoding

I'd guess the video; I've seen similar effects when HD video is brought down to a lower bit rate.
