Tearaway - Media Molecule [PSV]

Played a couple of minutes...game is lovely, very similar overall impression as LBP.

There is one difference so far: it is quite easy, in contrast to LBP which could be a bit tough (for me). I guess with Tearaway, the audience is clear kids!

I wonder if the challenge will increase a bit over time, as I have just started?

What is interesting: the game uses the rear touch pad...lol, until now, I didn't even know that the Vita has one!!

There is one quite hard (relatively) moment where you can get a present. To do that you need to jump to a barrel and roll it to the left using rear touch pad while keeping your friend on the barrel. Then you can jump off to a panel where the secret is :)

ha ha ha, this was the last thing I did this morning...but if this is the hardest part

It's an utterly delightful game. I just wished the experience was a wee bit meatier. Can't really complain much due to its modest asking price, but this is the rare example of a game where the campaign felt too short.

Probably partly feels too short because it is so much fun. :)

It's not a hard game so far (it says I am at 30%, I think after 3-4 hours of play, but not sure if this is total completion or story completion). There are a few interesting challenges and particularly some of the optional puzzles can require a bit of thinking.

One of the few games where my son gives me the controller for the fights, but then asks it back. :D

Also probably depends on whether you're a completionist (e.g. do you want to find all the hidden stuff, gifts per levels etc) Game definitely enables this in you by clearly showing how much there is to collect of everything.

Between the crafting, collecting, trophy hunting and what not, the game should be able to keep you going for a fair bit.

I love the crafting. Was just asked to create some scary eyes and had a lot of fun doing that.

Looks like it is using Amazon's cloud, by the way.

Another one, as it seems to work:

Game has some lovely touches by the way, like you can touch some of the paper with your finger and it will react a slight bit. Occasional other bits are interactive too. Stuff that the game needs you to interact with however is always clearly labeled (with a fingerprint)

These pictures are from the 'photomode' by the way. But regular screenshots often actually look better. If I could remember my Flickr password I could show some lol.

EDIT: logging in with google id worked too!

I tried to shoot a flying butterfly but on the photo it was too blury as there is a very long exposure :)

You can customise your character - some people reproduce the look of other games characters and it looks amazing.

Yes, already posted some examples. ;)

There are different lenses as well, also one for moving objects ... (fast shutter speed).

There's a cute bonus mission involving butterflys, just before where I am now.

Man, the first and second screen look totally real, its only when i saw the jagged shadow that I realised that the first screen in a screenshot and not a photo !!! Wow !

Also, saw some screenshots at gaf, the game looks super lovely. It must look even better on the Vita screen. I need re-purchase a Vita soon ! First KZMercenary and now this: these games are too good looking to be on a hand held device !

And Rayman Legends was just upgraded to include the challenges as well, so that one is now feature complete vs the big consoles. Still love that too. Oh and Spelunky as well now got the daily challenges and everything.

I broke down and bought this from the PSN last night, so far so great. I hope this game gets some sales, sounds like it is one of the best games of the fall so far.

You get access to colored paper and scissors. You can freely dress him and take pictures. I never did anything so clever, just used the in game assets.

I've got a spare copy of this that I'll give away for free to anyone in the UK. Based here and own a Vita but don't have Tearaway yet? PM me

Tried out the demo earlier today, apparently it will be on sale next week for 19.99. I'm going to pick it up, my kid will love it. MM is a very good developer, I'm looking forward to their next IP on the PS4.
