Has there been anything definite on either of 'em? Or is it all still speculation?

What's the best rumored date so far for the Wii? They planning on launching before the PS3 I assume and spoiling its thunder a bit?

Nintendo has some event tomorrow at the Games Convention in Leipzig. Maybe they will spill the beans.
Rumor has it that the Wii will come out in late october in germany, maybe slip into november.
EDIT: I heard that they may offer be a bundle with Wii Sports right from the start. But don't nail me. It's a rumor.

The real date might have been concealed in a Nintendo press release, at least according to Nintendo ;-). There should be thread about it, somewhere around here.
Wii's rumoured launch date is somewhat fuzzy. Somewhere from Mid October to first week of November. Nov 2nd has been suggested, but there's no confirmation yet.

They're starting to take preorders in Australia for both consoles as of this week.

Nope, in my opinion is giving neg-rep for a perfectly normal and polite question out of the order. If you talk to mods, I am sure they'll clean this up after all Beyond3D is community looking to exchange information, not a secret society.

I figured the answer did lie buried in some threads, but that posing the question could bring about some decent conversation about the subject and searching for "launch date" with either Wii or PS3 tends to pull up a whole lot of bingos.

Would seem so! It'll be fucking hell.
I am not sure that these are authentic. The graphic is taken straight from Nintendo's Wii webpage and some text has been added.
So until further confirmation I'll take these with a grain of salt
My wallet's gonna have a big headache if true... >_<
