A gigabit is a waste. How much bandwidth do you need to stream 1080p h.264? Max blu-ray bitrate is 40 mpbs (48 with audio) so double it for 60 fps and it's still less than 100 mbps. Is blu-ray quality not good enough for you guys?

And with standard Steam compression it's perfectly fine. All I'm saying is that uncapped bandwidth for Steam streaming was peaking around 90mbps on GTAV 1080p60 which with TCP overhead would actually breach 100Mbps limit.

Doubtful. They would have had Gigabit/Gbit instead of 1000mbit.

To all the pre-orderers out there, don't forget that previews of earlier versions of the Steam controller have been out for quite some time and they've been less than stellar as far as accuracy goes.
Plus, pre-ordering stuff before final reviews are out there has been proven a bad idea, time and again.
