Sony's Feb. Event Speculation (still alive and kicking)

I find it really amazing that there are still secrets about the PS3 (mostly RSX)... That's very unusual, there are almost always leaks before the official announcements.

Or maybe there are no secrets and we already know as much abotu RSX as we will ever know ;)

I'm sure they'll show games, but whether they'll show them playably or not is another matter. I doubt they will, unless Sony has an event with playable games in Japan before or around the same time.

Yep, that Sony meeting on monday afternoon was the same one referenced by Cory Barlog it seems.

And since KK is in SF for ISSCC, seems more than plausible.
I was correct:
Lot and lots of stuff has happened since my last foray into blogdom. Lets start from the beginning shall we? The team worked like crazy to get the game and video in shape for the Sony presentation up in San Francisco. I flew out on Tuesday afternoon, gave the presentation and then headed out back to the airport to catch a flight back to L.A. The presentation went pretty well. I didn’t seem to make too much of an ass out of myself, and the game seem to be received with a great amount of enthusiasm.

Don't give up!!

There's still two weeks left! And I heard from my sister's friend's "official" PS3 forum-blog that there's a mostly-pseudo-confirmed rumor that farmers in the mid-west have spotted crop circles that "almost definitely" looks like a Ps3 controller....something big is coming very soon!

No :p That's "just" a dev meeting, it's not a public or even a press event.

I think when most people think of "the" February event, they're thinking of either a Japanese public exhibition, or a big Japanese press conference. Probably either is unlikely now, IMO, but I'd wish someone would simply ask Sony PR about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that event open to the public? You can bet there will be a number of stealth press there disguised as geeky developers ;)

I don't think it's open to the public. Sources still say look out for Feb. 24th-26th so...
