Barbarian - Psygnosis (Amiga, ST)

Barbarian - Palace (Amiga, ST, C64)

There's a port of it for Linux...

It? Both games, or just one of them? If so, which one?

No matter which, now I just need to find a WINE equivalent for the windows environment to run Linux in! LOL...

See a titles I would love but as always I want my own 2 cents.

Streets of rage - been a long time since I title in the same vein as this final fight or double dragon which all 3 series could use a remake to show gamers that sometimes beating the crap out of people is all you need. Though if SOR is remade again I hope it plays more like 2 then 3 as it was the best in the series.

Super DodgeBall (Nes) - the gba title was just lame artistically compared to the one on the nes besides the old technos look in games owned be nice to see something unique in this day and age.

Topgear - I would really love a racer done like these games if kemco did it would be nice to have one done like the original, 3000 or rally on the n64.

Metal Slug - After seeing guilty gear on the dc on a vga monitor I just wanted to see a game like metal slug or contra done 2d but really hi res.

Robocop (Nes) - I admit I'm nostalgic and even when I played the game recently I couldn't help but what wonder what a real developer could do with the license of this series.

Paradroid + Uriduim (combined as one game.)
The Faery Tale Adventure
Racing Construction Kit
Elite
Summer Games, Summer Games II, Winter Games, World Games
Shadowfax & Engima Force
Tomb Raider 1
PSI Warrior
Castle Quest
Knight Lore
Beach Head + Beach Head II

It's freeware and can be downloaded from here:

There are actually 2 versions a Linux and a MacOS. :p

Holy crap, Barbarian!

:D I'd forgotten about that game. That's for the blast form the past. ;)

I think overall my favorite Atari ST game was Archipelagos, though. That'd be a funky one to update, for sure! ^_^

Yeah I used to play the hell out of it, too. It was just pure fun, especially in multiplayer, though my brother went berserk every time I decapitated him :p .

P.S.: It's the Palace Babarian

Edit: I forgot for any1 interested there's a remake of Stunts as well for Linux (called Ultimate Stunts). However, it's in a very early stage of development (v 0.4).

TIE Fighter - come on Lucasart, new sim with all new graphics

all the old Delphine titles

-aneep-

Metal Slug - After seeing guilty gear on the dc on a vga monitor I just wanted to see a game like metal slug or contra done 2d but really hi res.

ah patience my friend soon ..very soon 8)

Hell yeah, I forgot about Knoppix. Grall get Knoppix it is really very user friendly and no trouble to use.

starcontrol2 - yes, i know there's a replica being developed already (urquan masters) but i want an _IMPORVED REMAKE_!
*screams out, then bursts into hysterical laughter, turning into neurotic giggling, then gets quiet... *

"well, you guys got locked up under that space shield, then the Ur-Quan's came to us and started saying lots of things that ended in 'Or Die'."

Classic.

"Haaaaaleluiah!"

Here is just a brief list of some of the games I'd love to see remade:

1. X-COM (UFO: Enemy Unknown)
2. Stun Runner
3. Wing Commander Privateer
4. Relentless (Little Big Adventure)
5. Commander Keen

Nite_Hawk

Marble Madness

Super Monkey Ball = Marble Madness-ish

I want to see Stunt Race GP remade (properly).. Ikari Warriors too.

I don't think there are enough 2D games nowadays either :(

1. FFVII!!!! This game remade with the FF10 engine would totaly own!
2. Diablo two... need somthing 3d...
3. Desent, this game and the doom 3 engine would look very nice
4. Xenogears!
5. chronotrigger for the SNES

EDIT: added a 5

1) Paradroid - those who have never played this should seek out a C64 emulator immediately. It's one of those rare games than stands the test of time IMO.

2) Star Control / Elite - I'm rather bizarrely combining those two games because I'd like to see something with the plot and humour of the former, but the scope and "3d-ness" of the latter.

3) Planetfall / Stationfall - I guess you couldn't get away with a text adventure now, but I loved these.

4) Robotron

5) Koronis Rift
