Wow, I love the new monsters. I was personally pretty dissapointed with the design in SH3, but those two-headed things with masks look kick-ass! Hopefully this one won't be a let down for me as SH3 was, although I'm still kinda sad over the fact that they're making it more action oriented. But anyways, I'm really looking forward to this.
Yeah, a friend and I've just watched it. We are both Silent Hill nuts and we were not disappointed. Very rich: busy scenes, cool music like always and the trailer was very cinematic, like any Konami trailer for the last 4 years. Good stuff, looking forward to see the final results 8)

Btw, if you look at the scene at 1:10 and look at the walls, what technique would they be using for that? They certainly don't look flat at least. Although I guess it could be the not-so-good quality of the video, but it certainly looks cool.

Horror films like evil spinning things. Like Thirteen Ghosts, even. 
You are right cthellis, there was one in thirteen ghosts also but I said Event Horizon because the one in the trailer is almost identical to that one.
While we are on topic of Thirteen Ghosts though, I thought it was a cool film but I just couldn't take it too seriously with the guy from Wings as the protagonist and the chick from American Pie as the uh... chick. But.. I'll alway be haunted by it none the less, because the one of the thirteen ghosts left such an impression on me that she visits me every night in my dreams (you know the one...) .
Those spinny thngs are awful cool though, they just epitomise the mechanical malevolence of truly refined evil.

Haven't watched the trailer, but having played SH3 extensively many times through i can say it should be a similar technique to the one used toward the end of SH3, when the walls get all bloody... Very cool effect, i guess they are using a modified version of the same technique, which i think was also used to simulate the droplets of water on the windscreen in the "car" cutscene. Same technique, different look... I think it's procedurally generated, or that's what i heard around here...
Of course all of the above will be wrong since i haven't seen SH4 trailer.. oh well...
