AMD is seeking a Senior Marketing Engineer to fill a function critical to the ongoing success of the Graphics business. The role will include:
1 - Competitive Analysis of our competitor`s products from an ASIC, Architecture, Software, PCB and API perspective
2 - Create periodic reports comparing our products versus the competition and present to other teams and executives
3 - Help support the Competitive Intelligence role by gathering and analysis of data
4 - Support other product and technical marketing teams for product messaging and positioning
5 - Contribute to the product definition of new products to ensure we always have the best products in each segment
6 - Conduct training to product marketing and press teams to ensure we identify our strengths and our competitor`s weaknesses
7 - Contribute to group planning and strategic discussions
8 - Timeframe focus on 0-18 months
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Electrical Engineering Degree (EE) or Computer Science Degree; Masters of Business Administration preferred
- 5+ years experience in the PC or semiconductor industry in either an engineering or technical marketing role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to persuade and motivate people in other teams and functions
- Ultra competitive spirit and aptitude
