Fricking SLICK
While I LOVED Sega GT's blend of sim and arcade, the graphics and single player structure were a bit off a let down. While I expect this'll just be a rehashed engine rather than a new game ground up, atleast the online play looks to be a blast...
Nothing sounds sweeter than building your dream car, customizing it to hell and back, then race it against others online. I only hope Sega doesn't fumble big time and have be like 4 players heh
Rallisport engine would help too
Still, looks like a killer title for this fall. A pre-emptive strike against GT4?
(sorry, that was very chap like.. but online racers get me excited)

Yup, still looks like crap [/url]
A blend of deep simulation detail and high-octane arcade action, "Sega GT Online" challenges gamers to qualify for licenses, compete in a series of increasingly competitive races and earn money to soup up their rides and buy newer, more powerful cars. Players can then fine-tune nearly every aspect of their car's performance - from the muffler and brakes to the suspension, body weight and tires, before hitting the online racing circuit.
Featuring more than 160 of hottest street machines to ever roll off the assembly line - from vintage roadsters from the 50s, 60s and 70s to the latest prototypes from more than 20 of the world's biggest manufacturers "Sega GT Online" has the depth to satisfy even the most discerning gearhead. Gamers even have the option to trade or bet their hard-earned cars and parts with other gamers before hitting more than a dozen devious, high-speed raceways. Of course, gamers can also talk trash as they take turns at 180 miles per hour with Xbox Live's voice chat capabilities.
"'Sega GT Online,' takes racing for pink slips to a whole new level," said Mike Fischer, vice president of marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "If you think you've got what it takes to be the best, you can put your hard-earned car on the line and square off with thousands of gamers online via Xbox Live. Hey, if you lose big you can always talk trash - or grovel and beg for your car back."
"Sega GT Online" is in development by WOW Entertainment and is slated for release in the U.S. in Fall 2003.
