In Jedi Knight 2 under video options there is an option called advanced shaders...
I figure it just means a type of q3 engine shader...it seems to use a shiny texture...gloss map or sometin' like that...makes everything seem to have a shiny streaks going all over it. Not a pixel or vertex shader or anytin'.
Also on my kyro if looked at it seems to be in bands at 32 bit color and textures and very high textures...perhaps it's an effect of too many passes...similar to the problems 3dfx had with 16 bit color and too many passes degrading IQ.
Does anyone know what it exactly uses...it says hide or show textures that require powerful accelerator or sometin' like that.
Procedural texture or detail texture...it doesn't seem to be a detail texture
