Somewhere along this thread you encounter the seller, "rholiday",
stating that his company obtained this dual chip Radeon (R100), along with
other engineering samples and surplus ATi cards..

It seems ATi is indeed experimenting with multichip graphicsboards

An R100 Maxx is probably slower than an R200, so not really that much to get excited about.

I think it's more the principle that's exciting - Proof that ATi are still looking at implementing Maxx technology on there cards.

I'm not sure you can call it proof that they are STILL looking. The R100 was out well over a year ago! (maybe two?)

Maybe not prove, but hope!

It does mix in well with the rumours of a Maxx-based RV250, and the references towards Maxx technology in recent driver sets however.

It looks like that board is designed mostly for multimonitor... is there a bridge chip on the card?

I imagine it'd also probably be hell to get that thing running in NT.

Oh well, it's still just an engineering board; we don't even know if it works at all.
