Question about Page File usage when opening many browser windows

I've noticed that my PF usage is able to go up to 2.3GB when viewed from the Task Manager without IE8 having any problems opening more browser windows.

In the past, the limit was around 1.7GB before IE8 couldn't open anymore browser windows. I haven't changed my PF settings so I'm curious as to what might have caused this boost in performance?

I'm running XP Pro btw.

I believe IE8 and IE7 in Vista will indirectly take advantage of the amount of video memory your video card has...

Ok but I'm not running Vista and my video is integrated and doesn't have its own dedicated memory. Any ideas? It's very strange but it's a nice performance boost. I haven't tested this to see how many browsers windows I could open before I can't open anymore. I would be very surprised if the PF usage can go all the way up to 4GB which would be a HUGE boost.

you will need 64bit to go further, with 32bit a process can use 2GB max, and I believe 2GB is also the max swap size.
