Avoided the burden of getting the huge videos, which are a waste since you only see John Carmack speaking...
A MP3/OGG would definetly have been a better idea.

English is not my native language, and even if I have listened the whole thing a couple of times I didn't manage to fully understand it, maybe due to Carmack's Texan accent .

On a side note as a French I find it way easier to understand an English speaking than an American. Generally Americans are speaking faster and eating half of the words. But don't take this too seriously because French are not a reference in foreign laguages
