e received word today that Datel's PSP WiFi Max is on the way, and it's a cool new accessory that allows you to connect the PSP to the Internet both wirelessly and with great ease. With PSP WiFi Max (Price: £29.99), just plug your USB WiFi dongle into your Internet-enabled PC to create a Wireless Access Point. You can then connect to the Internet and play online-enabled multiplayer games with PSP gamers from all over the world. Best of all, WiFi MAX supports up to five 'local' PSP gamers at a time, so you and your friends can all play online at once!

As well as multiplayer games, PSP WiFi Max also lets you organize your media files and download them to your PC using the exclusive Max Media Server software. Transfer MP3s, images, and video files from your PC to your PSP from anywhere that's within range of your new WiFi network. As it operates on the Wireless G standard, it's five times faster than an ordinary WiFi connection, and if you use our USB cable and dongle stand (supplied), you can position your dongle to maximise your effective WiFi range. If you have other WiFi-enabled devices capable of using the Internet, such as laptops or PDAs, you can take them online with WiFi MAX too. It's the ultimate device for internet surfing without a WiFi router! Features include:

- Internet gaming through any Internet-enabled PC
- No cables necessary– make a wireless connection
- Organise your files, and convert videos into a PSP-friendly format
- Five times faster than standard WiFi
- Suppled with software CD and WiFi dongle, and also a USB cable and stand for optimal positioning

so, the cool thing is , you can set this up as an accespoint.. so would it be usuable to plug this on your pc (wich is wired with a router ./ modem what not) and use it with the wifi adapter on the xbox360 .?

well i never researched usb wifi receivers, but as far as i know, they cant act as a accespoint , that you need special software for that.
I presume you can only use usb wifi sticks with ad hoc with other devices ... no ?
My cisco wifi teacher would kill me now hehe :)

well i have a 750 euro cisco adsl router on my line.. dont want to replace that with something like that. ( i cant change , have to do tests for work) so idialy i need a simple wifi accespoint so it would suit me well, if i could use it with the xbox360 that would be sweet (shame the wifi adapter costs so much for xbox aren't there other cheaper solutions?)

There are plenty of dirt cheap USB WiFi adaptors that can be APs and bridge to the rest of the network. ASUS bundled a nice enough one with mainboards for a while, too.
