The yellow one is hawt.

I hope they have a range of colors, Blue, Yellow, Red.....

What game is this?

no you wouldnt be able to do that. i have aprox the same cable attached on my laptop at work. they are VERY strong

the black one is still the coolest me thinks and also the white one
they need also a CHROME model that would be cool

wow, I still can't get over just how stylish PSP looks. Makes it all the more disappointing actually, that I am yet to find a mobile phone that matches this in terms of style.

I must admit, I am very excited about this and especially RPGs that will surely be developed for it (Final Fantasy Remakes would be so cool). Oh, and Wipeout is already a must for me... definately!!!

The really stylish mobile phones are available in Japan. ;)

For example this or this looks pretty stylish for a phone.

The PSP looks stylishly good because of the way the big screen is flanked by standard controller buttons without large borders on the top and bottom of the screen. The design isn't a radical departure from say a PPC turned sideways. Compared to previous designs, it looks very nice, but compared to PDAs it isn't that much better looking. Different yes because of the controller buttons etc. For something that obviously cost a lot to manufacture, it'd better look good.

IMO both those NEC cell phones look like bricks.

I wish this phone was in America...

Now that's style!

Japan has wicked phones. :D Though, if I might add, I don't find those NEC phones to be very stylish (just IMO). I think the next phone I just might be getting to replace my Sony Ericcson T610 might be the S700. While I don't like the way you have to rotate the top part to access the buttons, I find the front and big display to be very appealing:

Sadly, Sony Ericsson just like all the others have a lot to learn to make the 'perfect mobile' when it comes to software. Siemens is pretty strong in that regard, but IMO lacks in the technology area (pixelated displays, big icons etc). I wish Sony Ericsson or a manufacturer with a design similar like the above, could just make a grouping function for contacts and proper ignore lists (where you could add groups to an ignore list), manage said contacts over the PC, have proper timers (fully configurable). Perhaps on my trip to Australia later this year via Tokyo, I might find something that advanced overthere.

Umm..that looks like a regular mobile phone. NEC has them too along with a bunch of other companies. In fact this is what I'm currently using.

There's style and then there's STYLE. My 525 is the typical mobile phone style.

This is the other kind of style..credit card size and aluminum too. If this was black instead of silver, it would probably look even more stylish.

Well, you have to rotate it because that external display is also used as the internal display.

In other words to save costs, they took the normal internal display that every current LCD equipped mobile phone has, and slapped it on the outside. Instead of having a big display on the inside and a smaller display on the outside like my 525, they use a single display requiring you to twist it. If they had two big screens both on the inside and outside, you wouldn't have to twist it, however you would have to pay a premium for two large screens. It's a tradeoff between cost and ergonomics. It's stylish yes, but the ergonomic tradeoff isn't worth it IMO. A least with a flip-phone, you can open it up with one hand.

Umm..that looks like a regular mobile phone.

And it's sleek and sexy as hell. Best looking phone I have seen personally.

Those NEC phones you linked to are just boxy, and don't look very functional, just stupid looking IMO.

Well we were talking about style not functionality. Regardless, functionality doesn't mean it has to be a flip-phone. Current non flip-phones on the market work quite well. They all have style, it's just each person's definition of style is different. IMO your phone looks like the average Motorola or Samsung flip-phone kinda bleh. The styling doesn't really standout from the rest of the pack IMO.

I don't own the phone ;)

I Just love how it looks, I love flip phones like the samsung 307(That really small fucker), and this one is just sleek as hell.

I think the phone you own is pretty good though, it's a bit bulky, but than again it has so many features.

Heh, yeah I meant the phone you posted not the phone you own. :) Anyway I agree that my phone is pretty big compared to other flip phones. The reason is because it has a big 2.2" high resolution LCD and a nice color 1" external LCD. Personally, I'd rather have a large LCD instead of a smaller one like on other smaller sized flip-phones. Anyway here's what a flash-based micro PSP or micro GBA 2 would look like. Just add a few more buttons to the other side of the screen and an MBX chip and maybe even a TV tuner like the NEC V601N. Even better is to allow the controls to reside on a folding area and make it a tri-fold design. For example allow the left/right areas to be folded onto the back for compactness :devilish:
