The new trailer is great. When I look at it in HD it has great look! Looks funny also. Maybe when I get a PS3 unit I get this game also. I dont know.

i think its supposed to be a different (better) demo than the one released by Gamestop. the one released by Gamestop was of an older build afaik.

If you read the article, it says the original release date was 30th October.
The new date is sometime next week (23rd I think).
Well it still says the official launch date is the 30th, but I guess retailers are going to be allowed to sell it early.
I'm not sure I understand the logic behind releasing before the expected date.
Why not ? There's no event planned for it anyway. The vast majority of the retailers already have the games ready to be sold. They can also capitalize on the price drop early.
Usually things are planned with advertising etc. I don't see how like a last minute preemptive release helps it really.
And what price drop? The 80gb PS3 drop which brings it to the price which the 60gb unit has been at for months? I'm not sure how that's going to push numbers for either the console or R&C. I guess maybe it would make more sense in Europe? I think they might have helped it more by releasing with the 40gb units.

Making the game one week earlier in this case has no/little impact on the advertising. Many PS3 owners are anticipating its release anyway. There is also no channel conflict since the "vast majority" of the retailers already have the game.

Why yes, it's only within a week of the 80Gb's price drop. Insomniac would hope that more people pick up a copy of R&C and Resistance with it.
