Also it would be nice to know how much they will be selling these HDD's for. MS is making a killing charging 100 for a 20GB unit....

No it was my mistake, I thought both reports had specifically mentioned the same guy.

Still, it should be obvious to you guys that this is hardly 'confirmation', especially with a direct quote from the exact same company SCEE that says explicitly "we're not confirming it."

It's very obvious that you guys are wanting to believe just about anything you read right now, and anything that contradicts that gets ignored, like the nextgen article.

Anyways, I'll revisit this thread in the fall, when PS3 launches without a HDD, and laugh...

Why is it so hard for you to believe PS3 will have a 60 GB HDD standard? Especially when we do have confirmation from a sony representative and all the big gaming sites saying the same thing. There's only a very small chance this is all a misunderstanding. If this information was incorrect, sony would already have reacted.
I think you're a little bit too sceptical arguing with the true meaning of words translated from japanese ('required' or 'telling'). You are so desperate to find things that aren't there. Just go with the flow. ;)

They'll probably replace it for a bigger one at E3.

Why did the "HDD Required" slide only show things like "enchanced gameplay" and "online support"?
As I pointed out earlier, you can't look at that slide and conclude sensibly that the list of things is features having an HDD adds. The formatting isn't clear. None if this is clear. There's no clear info to point to probable meaning. All we can get from this is 200+ posts of different people interpretting the available info in different ways, filling in the blanks and reading between the lines with a personal objectivity that finds different clues to others.

KK's comments were ambiguous.
The slide is ambiguous.
The recent 'confirmations' are ambiguous, lacking info needed to validate them.

Should only be a couple of days before this is explained.

Make sure you do, because I just book-marked it together with the rest of your posts pointing out common-sense...

Seriously, is this crusade of yours really necessary? If anything, neither has supporting evidence of either case happening - and no 'common-sense' argument is going to give you more credibility. Fact is, besides these reports, there is absolutely nothing to base it on, so it's rather imature of you to go posting as if you have it all figured out. If anything, it looks as if Sony will include it because that's where the reports are pointing at the moment.

Once again, either form a constructive argument to support your own case or drop the argument all together. We don't need another countless posts from you pointing out your humble belief without anything substantial to add. We get your opinion, move on.

Until further notice the PS3 will ship with an upgradable (replacable) 60GB HDD.
There's no point discussing it.
