PS3 (Euro?) Slogan revealed

This is definitely one of the best flahs sites i have ever seen. Clever and good looking desing.

At first i hated the This is Living slogan, but after seeing the first add, it looks really cool, makes the console look like something else, not your common games machine.

After seeing the ad, i think that Sony will try to separate the ps3 from other consoles by trying to make the ps3 "look cool", like a new ipod or something like that. That´s the vibe i get from the add.

The second short film, "Storage", is available here:

Teases with Afrika at the end, funnily enough :D
Interesting video (and video tapes!). The end is a bit abrupt, more Afrika please!

I guess so. Looks to much in the Eyeball vein for my tastes. They ought to have gone with something classier, like a brushed-Alu cylindrical camera. As it'll be more prominant than the console it needs a better image.
It is "living", and watching you ;) It's a sensor network like an organic body dreaming about Afrika.

If multiple cameras is the norm, they may even realize the Prime Sense rumor :p

With these different promo films, the whole "this is living" slogan is really coming together in my head much easier. Its almost genius how they link the two really different scenarios to features of the ps3. boxing to AI, antiques to blu-ray.
That BluRay movie really bugged me.
"BluRay is the high-tech ray for the high-definition play." How cheesy is that?! And what about...
"BluRay knows exactly where [data] isn't, exactly where it is, and exactly where it's going to be."? How can a disk know what data is going to be put onto it and where? I also thought the Afrika demo looked very rough, with little robotic animals all cut and pasted and looking decidedly unnatural.

I haven't seen the Cell one yet. Anyone got a link?

sorry shifty, i just gotta say what the hell is the point of all this euro marketing shit, the website, etc. when its not even coming there for another 6+ months :/

kinda makes me mad, even though im not in EU.

Why exactly it makes you mad? It doesn't bother or concern you.

yeah but its just a dumbass decision by sony. cutting off a huge holiday season for EU. i feel bad for the people who were waiting for one over there. they cant even import IIRC as region codes are japan and usa. kinda makes you mad.

Aww thanks for the sympathy... But region codes have never been much of an issue for European importers! Especially now that we actually have fewer regions to be worried about! It's just a matter of buying games online from the US. They come out months before the Euro versions, and are generally cheaper too!

It's a win-win kind of ordeal really :)

Because they work independently based on a plan that has just been revised. They will have to pull back or delay their media slots too (no TV adverts until later since supply is short).

they always can change their slogan to

PLAYSTATION3 " This is Waiting "
 You asked for it. Official page is up!!

Some of those are well done and quite funny, but I hope no-one was being that serious. It's amazing what a stink people can kick up over a measly 4 month (unless it gets pushed back again ;)). I guess this is the 'now' generation. Pity those who don't get everything they want immediately - poor people  And I dare say most of those creating those images hadn't preordered and weren't going to get a PS3 until next-year anyway :p
