What exactly did you change between build 320 and build 330 of 3DMark? From the PDF, it seemed like it was only extremely minor changes whose only real point was to change the executable's CRC in order to prevent the drivers from detecting it. Am I correct?

Considering I don't want to make another post on a similar topic:

You should therefore not judge them even if the next 3DMark doesn't run that well on their hw right after we launch. Give them some time to get possible driver issues fixed, and start comparing scores only when the rendering is correct.

I 100% agree, we should give them more time to mature their drivers. I realise that nVIDIA have had a lot of time to work on their drivers which will throw out any of my defense (argument) to why should we (the consumers) wait for them?

I also think that 3dmark isn't the be-all end-all of 3d graphics. I do agree that it makes a great benchmark but with the way some people treat it, they go too far. They create an opinion of an entire product based on 3dmark (I have met A LOT of people that do this) performance/bugs/etc...

Why NV decided to knock out of the beta program is beyond me. Especially since a lot of ignorant consumers base opinions of entire products on just 3dmark alone. There were a few conspiracy theorists who said that NV might have known they would have low performance in 3dmark2003 so they booted out of the beta program for some reason or another (to look good?, cushion their fall?).

No, the conspiracy theorists say nv wanted greater influence on what the benchmarks consisted of, or how they are created (Cg ?), they were turned down, so they quit.

The fact is, we don't know why they quit.
Saying that it costed too much doesn't sound like a valid reason.
