Apple might disagree...just saying.

And before you say it, yeah they make big $ on app store, but before that (and maybe currently) they made more on hardware. They are a hardware company first.

Which doesn't really apply to video games, but yeah a significant part of Nintendo's profits can be hardware. I'm sure they banked on hardware in Wii era.
 
That might work for Apple, but Nintendo is no Apple. Nintendo can not command the 200% to 300% Brand Tax that Apple can.
 
NES mini is not your typical console or gaming product. These rules of thumb might not apply. Any info on this thing's BOM?
