How exactly did you found out about this? It's the first time I've heard the game was rejected even once, much less five times.Or why Viewtiful Joe was rejected 5 times on end and now is allowed

Because any game not worth a damn will be rejected...at least twice.

So?, how does that related to Viewtiful Joe?

*(BTW in the US, the psone Tales of Eternia was released under the name "Tales of Destiny 2", which one is a different game from the PS2 ToD2)

You should also remove the flashy green from your signature, i can barely read the "next". Anyway keep on the good work, you can become an excellent alternative to teamxbox.

They know where their strongholds are, and they want to build their foundations on the most sold ground they can. So while I can certainly see them taking more pains to make sure their Japanese game lineup isn't craptastic, I can't see them LAUNCHING out there. US consumers would feel stiffed, and they'd make for the poorest launch showing of any territory, even if it DID amount to them being better received in Japan. They'd still be given short shrift compared to Sony and Nintendo, and still perform worst there of any region.
I certainly agree with that. Especially since the PS2 is delivering video-conferencing as well, which makes it a non-unique feature trying to promote a sub-par platform for them.AzBat said:One of the biggest reasons why I see the possibility of Japan being launched first is that Microsoft can't last till late 2005, much less early 2006. The video-conferencing thing will be released late this year in Japan first and I highly doubt it will make much of a dent in their numbers, much less be enough to last them through the 2005 season.
I'm not sure either, but I DO think they want to put their best foot forward for the global community to give Xbox 2 the biggest leg-up, and I certainly don't think they'll have it in Japan. (Not to mention the US gamers may sour and hold it against them, as we LIKE having one platform that starts here first! Europe wouldn't care one way or the other, since they're always 2nd string anyway... )I don't see the negatives outweighing the positives to releasing in Japan first. Will it happen? I'm not sure, but it's something I'm sure they have considered.
