New Ruby and Crytek Demo for Download

The new Ruby demo is a bit pants in comparison to the first. I suspect that this one is in-house, rather than RhinoFX, and they'll giving the large cash to RhinoFX for R520's demo.

any wrappers / combos of wrappers that make the ruby demo work on nvidia cards yet (specifically 6800 GT). I've been trying Colourless's old Ruby and Tommti System's stuff and neither works.

You will probably have better luck using 3DAnalize and changing your vendor and device ID to one of ATI's cards...

That I did (3dAnalize being Tommti Systems). Although I don't know the X850 DirectX DeviceID... it might help.

OMG, I loved it!!!

Actually I was a bit disapointed at the first fly thru into the fan, but then when it started up again in split-screen showing the difference between w/motion blur and without I was entranced! (I sat spellbound thru the next two split-screens too, I'm sooo lame. )

I love when they do the side-by-side with/without comparisons like that, it really helps me to notice all the elements that go into it better and just makes me jaw drop thinking about how much work my card is doing!

Oh, it ran really smooth and looked great on Bubbles:

Bubbles Athlon XP-M 2400+ (12x200), NF7-s rev 2, 1Gb PC3200, OEM Sapphire ATi Radeon 256MB X800 pro VIVO (flashed 16 pipes 500/540), Audigy2, Altec-Lansing ADA885, ATi TV-wonder VE, DVDR, 2x10/100NIC, 80GB, 200GB sATA

Ah, sorry.

I figured why waste time with the viddy since I could run the demo.

there's a benchmark.bat in crytek demo dir.

P4C 3.0ghz + 6800GT (350/1000)
1280x1024 4xAA

27.3 fps

demo runs pretty good on nvidia cards but blur thingy acts funny in some parts and water shader is broken :p

It looks like you need to clamp the highest reported PS version to 2.0b. I downloaded 3DAnalyze (looks pretty neat,) and it only allows you to clamp to 1.1 and 1.4.

Any more benchmarks?

Interesting, when I 'force high precision shaders' and 'NV40 fix for R420 demos' in 3dAnalize now the new Ruby demo WORKS on my GF6800GT!
