Vampire's Rain producer Naoto Oshima recently sat down with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu to discuss his upcoming Xbox 360 title.
AQ Interactive recently announced several new games for Xbox 360. One of those games is Vampire's Rain which is a horror themed action-adventure produced by Naoto Oshima (Sonic The Hedgehog). Famitsu magazine recently interviewed Oshima and he gave some more details regarding Vampire's Rain.
Oshima wants the make Vampire's Rain scary, infact the concept of the game is fear. Oshima said he feels Vampires have gone from scary to cool in recent years. He wants to bring back the fear that Vampires used to have. Some of the characteristics he noted about vampires are: They can't be defeated with normal weapons, they are much faster then humans, and they easily blend in with humans. These are the types of vampires you'll encounter in Vampire's Rain.
Artoon and Oshima choose a setting of Los Angeles for the game with good reason. In LA it rains only a few times a year. Rain is an important element of the game, as the vampires are weakened in the downpours. Players will be wise to go out on missions during the rain.
Artoon will give the player plenty of freedom in their computer generated LA. A full scale map of LA is expected with players having access to roof tops and fire escapes. The game will also be very heavily storyline driven.
The game will also feature online play, while details are still scares some info suggests that players will get to take on the roll of vampires in the online play and do nasty things to the unknowing humans.
