And once again I won't be able to see your work :(
When I had my GF DDR back then you were coding for NV20/R200 hardware, now that I have a GF4 Ti you're coding for NV30/R300... always late ;)

Just for my knowledge : could your technique be implemented with PS1.1 ? Even if it's the case I understand why you're using Fragment program it's a clean extension, and moreover it's the official one. I just want to know because Crytek's technique works on my card (they're using Dx8 I think).

Yes, it should be possible to make something similar on R8500/GF3 level hardware. You could get quite a long way on GF/R100 level too. It requires more work though.

I wasn't aware of the massive performance improvement that this tech actually brings to the table and their is such a small diff on the model and a 2x perf increase! I really cant wait until people start using this tech more extensively.

I'm sorry, Humus. I'm afraid I'm not willing to download this demo until you can PROVE to me that you are a developer.

Yes, and an improvement of just 2x is only because the bunny covers most of the screenspace. Put it further into the distance and you're looking at like 4x improvement or more.

Lol
Yeah, I think I'll have to collect the time from earlier employments too to fill up those 90 days. :p

As some people commented on my site, the technique is called "Detail Preserving Simplification", not PolyBump which is just the product name of the tool CryTek uses for that particular task ...
