Ok I have a laptop that's equiped with a DVD-ROM that I want to upgrade to a DVD-R/RW. I've found many drives from various manufacturers, but my concern is that the drive door are of different shapes which will not match my particular laptop. So my question is, is there a way to remove the disc tray door on my factory DVD drive and put it on the new DVD-R/RW drive? I also notice that the eject button is located at different places on the different drives too. :?
Has anyone done this type of upgrade? I don't want to buy a factory DVD-R/RW because they cost a lot. Oh btw the disc tray door is shaped like the letter "L".
