I posted this at another site and one guy actually managed to get 14 of them right on the third reply in the thread. :)
So how well does B3D remember the (more or less) obscure consoles in this thread? 8)

1. Amiga CD32
2. Atari Lynx
3. can't see it properly but and version of 3DO?
4. Turbografx PCGT
5. Atari Jaguar
6. Sega Megadrive/genesis+megaCD
7. Original NeoGeo (cause I got one back home...hehe)
8. Neogeo Pocket (should be monochrome versio, can' make it out)
9. hmmm GP32?
10. Sega's 32X
11. The lengendary Sega Nomad.
12. an blurry SNES with the (now infamous) prototype of playstation CD addon
13. ???
14. Virtual Boy - Nintendo
15. Wonderswan.

Yes, that's 3DO and that's GP32.

I'm pretty sure that 13 is either the Game.Com or that other Tiger handheld that came out a few years back..

The PC Engine was never available in Sweden. :( It seemed like a fantastic console at the time and I've always regretted not being able to play Dracula X.

Other than that I've had my go with all of these machines except the SNES-CD of course.

I remember when the Neo Geo was brand new and my friend who worked at the local videogame store just bought one.
MAN that console crushed everything you'd ever seen at the time.

Another game I never got to play was Kasumi Ninja for the Jaguar, but on the other hand when looking at it now it seems like pretty lousy game.

I'm mostly pissed off at the fact that I can't find a copy of Dracula X and a decent (free) PC Engine emulator.

Any other obscure creations from the 16 bit era or later that anyone wants to share pictures of (or info on)?

My (very very) fond memories of classic, 'obscure' consoles:

#1 By far, the late nights playing Military Madness on my TurboExpress.. I loved that game SOOOOO much!! Advance Wars just doesn't compare, at all, in any way.

#2 Sonic CD. Still my favourite Sonic game by far! The pinacle of 2D 'platforming' IMO. *drools @ thought of high res version of Sonic CD....*

#3 Star Control II SuperMelee on my friends 3DO.. mmmmmmm

#4 Aliens vs. Predator on the Jaguar. Sooo under rated!

one line - KOF.

Y'all will probably get this one right away too.

no idea anyone got a pic (kinda looks like an alternate famicom....??)

Thanx for dropping that hint, learned something new today ... here are some Zemmix infos, cool stuff even though I don't think it's the console in question:

The first game I played for the Neo Geo was Art of fighting. Once I saw the SNES port I just realized what a devestating power the Neo Geo held. :)

Neo Geo CD: Samurai Spirits RPG... man I would like to try that game. :)

It was awesome for sure, but the price of the cartridge-based NeoGeo was devestating too :D
