Like she wouldn't have gone behind her parents back for internet access...
There are technical solutions to keeping your children off unwanted sites.
Yes, such as not having internet access at home, and never letting them out of the house, cus you know, it's not like their friends or school have computers with internet access or anything. Oh, wait...
They could have controlled it at home.
They could have controlled it at home.
Yeah but would they have know how to implement that solution? Not everyone is as tech saavy as the people in here and they certainly can't be held accountable for that.
I agree..
How about thinking out of the box? How about taking the power cord off the computer for starters? Or how about hiding the keyboard? Or do you have to be techie to implement these situations? No, you have to have a level of common sense, which it seems. For alot of people nowadays, this is glaringly missing!
I totally blame this on the parents, if they really didnt want their child to use the computer, they *could* have done this. But instead they didnt. Perphaps if they had been more "parental" about this, she would have still been alive. This whole story smacks to me of complete apathy towards the situation of their child.
What is a parent's job? Is it to protect and raise their children? Did they do that in this case?
What is a child's job? Is it to listen and respect their parents? Did she do that in this case?
Personally, I place blame on everyone involved in that situation, the girl, the girl's parents, the other girl, the other girl's parents, the neighbors, the school, and the girl's physicians. I'm sure there's others I've left off that list.
