I can't switch to full screen on my GF3TI200

Do you get a messagebox telling you that or does it just not work? Also, what resolution is checked on the fullscreen menu?

1024x768 was checked and it gave a popup message...I went and 'rechecked it' so that the check disappeared. Now it works. (but the check doesn't show)

mabye they are sending you a sepcial toy humus ... i can't get it to work at all on my 9700 ... none of your opengl apps work on my pc for some odd reason... it says

The following required OpenGL extensions are supported:

Too bad, these required OpenGL extension aren't supported by the graphic card you're using:

GL_ARB texture_env_combine
GL_EXT_texture3D
GL_EXT_texture_edge_clamp
GL_EXT_blend_subtract

I have reinstalled the drivers many times. I wonder what is affecting it. I've allso installed every version I can find. It may just be my windows is messed up or something . Don't feel like reinstalling them.

I get the same image posted by Ante P.

Also, sound/wave setting gets turned all the way up (scared the shit out of me).

9700Pro w/ 7.77 , XP2000+, 512MB DDR, Creative SBLive (default WinXP drivers), WinXP.

Sounds a little odd. I'll take a look at it and see if I figure something out.

I guess you are running with dual monitors, right? OpenGL acceleration gets turned off for some reason while it's enabled. Try disabling it.

I'll give the same advice as to Ante P, try updating your drivers. Do also upgrade the drivers for the sound card for the other issue. I do recall I had some problems some time ago with default XP drivers when XP was new where some apps would change my audio settings. Updating the drivers and the problem went away.

Multiple Monitors, had the same problem too... disabled my secondary monitor and then it worked great!

actually, it doesn't get disabled for other OGL apps and benchmarks, as i'm able to run everything else OpenGL with my dual monitors going...

it just seems to be with your gl apps...

at least with a 9700 Pro in XP with the 6193 drivers :D

*looks around room for a hidden camera* shesh how did you know i use dual monitors... Okay i will disable and see if it works...

I had a problem when I had the Shadows in Hydravision enabled, works fine with Tranparency, but not the border shadows from the ATI Hydravision....

Under the Hydravision properties it's under the HydraFX tab and under 3D Controls, uncheck the checkbox "Enabled Shadow Support"

Let me take a screenshot of what i see

Must be my SBLive! drivers then...

Games don't change my sound settings, that's why I thought you did.

Hmm, that's odd. Guess I'll need to check that out someday. Will see if I can borrow my roommate's monitor someday and run some multimonitor debugging.

Don't underestimate my powers 8)

Heh, it's just that I recognized the problem, you're not the first one getting it.

Here you go Humus, I made a little video with my dig camera hehe, so you can see what it looks like on a 9700 Pro with 6193 drivers in XP, the video may be a bit dark so you may need to turn up your brightness, its kinda low quality but you'll get the idea

here ya go: http://home.attbi.com/~brentjustice2/humus.wmv

Alright, looks like the first pass works, but not subsequent passes. I treat the first pass a little different. Looks like the Z-mask or possibly the color-mask or something like that doesn't work. I'll take a look at that tonight. Just got word that my Radeon 9700 have arrived and is available at the post office right now. I'll go get it in a moment. :)

The demo doesn't get a retained-alpha pixelformat

Humus, AFAIK the problem is that for some reason you don't get a pixelformat with retained alpha (i.e. with destination alpha).
I tested your demo in a Wildcat VP and I had to force the driver to return a pixelformat with alpha in order to make it work, otherwise I would get the same image as the screenshot posted here.
What are the flags you pass to ChoosePixelformat?.

Nice demo, though :)

I'm still on a 8500. I have ordered a 9700 directly from ATi with the 40% developer discount one and a half month ago, it still hasn't arrived even though I've reminded them several times. I was told like a week or two ago when I reminded them the last time that it should ship that day, but apparently it didn't. :( Can't see what's holding it back ...

... Goddammit ATI! Which reminds me: Are you still set for that job at ATI in Canada? There was a work permit problem I believe? (crazy Canadians!)

Code:
	static int iAtt[] = {
		WGL_DRAW_TO_WINDOW_ARB, GL_TRUE,
		WGL_ACCELERATION_ARB, WGL_FULL_ACCELERATION_ARB,
		WGL_RED_BITS_ARB, 8,
		WGL_GREEN_BITS_ARB, 8,
		WGL_BLUE_BITS_ARB, 8,
		WGL_ALPHA_BITS_ARB, 8,
		WGL_DEPTH_BITS_ARB, 24,
		WGL_STENCIL_BITS_ARB, 0,
		WGL_DOUBLE_BUFFER_ARB, GL_TRUE,
		0, 0
	};

I don't think it's the alpha, without dest alpha the first fog volume wouldn't work either.
