1. Halo 2- You've seen the hype. Well to a point, believe it! One very nice thing was Microsoft let 50 people in at a time without a bunch of press causing a 100 person line to wait 4 hours but merely 10-20 minutes as they filled the theater .
2. Mortal Kombat whatever- I played it on the Gameboy Advance for a while. I must say I'm disappointed . One thing I wish they did with the displays was not blow it up. Yes it makes it harder to see, but man oh man is it distracting from a persons opinion when the developer comments that the reason the graphics are so pixelated is because the game is being displayed on a big screen instead of the GBA or SP screen
3. Half-Life 2. Awesome, simply awesome. I really really hated the fact that they were letting 5-10 people in every half hour and took a 60 person line about 4 hours to get to see it. It was rather funny waving to a ATI PR rep to say hi and 1 hour later waving again 10 feet closer to the movie.
4. Deux Ex Invisible War- Excellent graphics. Loved the first one, hopefully the second will be as good
5. F-Zero - Kind of a disappointment in my eyes
6. NVIDIA meeting- was interesting, as Brian Burke and Diane Vanesse looked tired on the second day of the show. Steve Sims took me through the NV35 presentation and answered some questions.
7. Bumped into ATI PR asking for someone when I bumped into Dave Baumann!!! After a interesting talk with Chris Evandon (uh forgot how to spell it) we went out for some extremely cheap edible Mexican Chinese food (if you've ever ordered rice at a Chinatown Express, you know exactly what I'm talking about). Had a interesting discussion and went to a XFX party. Well it wasn't much of a party as the people there mainly sat in booths and ordered drinks. The "musician" was pawning his CD's before the show started.
8. Met briefly with Bubba Wolford of SimHQ and now Visiontek and Michael Innes also of Visiontek.
9. Missed meeting with John Malley of BFG Technologies, but amusingly, Dave met him after the XFX party taking a cab together
10. Played several hours of Final Fantasy XI . Liked the graphics but the gameplay was cool. Didn't like the fact that the combat was automatic mostly
11. Castlevania for the GBA rocked
