Just bought a PS3, have a few easy questions

I think it has to be a jpg or gif. I am not sure which icon you're refering to actually. I customized my account icon (The one for XMB login), but use one from the built-in library for PSN avatar (friend list).

The log in icon, whatever its called. The one all the way to the left of the XBM. Same as you customized I believe. I have just regular 'ol .jpgs on a SD card.

When the SD card is in, and I go to pictures, shows "SD Card". Yet when I click it, it says nothing is there. If I hit the triangle, and can go to show all, and they are there. There are in thumbnails, but there is no preview in the thumbnails. They work if I click them. But I cant customize my login icon, because it cant find them. Its got to be something simple. Maybe Ill just throw some random .jpegs on there and see if they work.

Hmm... it should work then. What happens if you import the image into your Photo library, and then select it from the library ?

Don't forget to set the Folding@Home screen saver... if you want to contribute. Go to the F@H icon and press triangle.

What is the option called in the Samsung menue ? Is it the "HDMI black level "setting - Normal/low?
I have the HDMI level set to normal and the PS3 set to full...

yup, normal is limited range and low is full range. if your set is like mine, the way you have it is correct, i just have it the other way (hdmi level to low and PS3 set to limited).

Watch any video saved on the HDD to where you want it to start, then press triangle then change icon

Also change your mouse settings to fast, and the store + web will be faster to navigate.

Yeah, the analog stick will move the cursor faster.
