Moreover, the UALink Promoter Group plans to release the initial 1.0 specification by Q3 2024. The firm says that the platform will be able to scale up to 1,024 AI accelerators, and an update to increase the bandwidth is scheduled for Q4 2024. It will serve as a direct load, store, and atomic operations interface between AI GPUs

Lazy SMP programmers were finally whipped into shape and now the lazy AI programmers are bringing all the fucking bullshit back again.
 
Obviously they don't want people buying multiple 4090s and connect them with NVLink ;)
