Hey, I've just heard that Silvester Stallone is going to make Rocky 6. I am open for suggestions for the subtitle...

Oh for crying out loud not another Rocky. I say make another Rambo if you have to then go back to the nursing home and rest easy already...

Rocky 4 was bad, Rocky five was even worse than the Star Wars clone with David Hasselhoff, I mean it can't get worse now can it?

Oh lord that was the worst cringe material ever... and i was only a little kid then.... Hate Rocky and Rambo movies, absolutely useless to humanity.

I loved the first Rocky. I remember watching Wendy Werner, a very cute blond I had a huge crush on in 7th grade, reading the novelization. Ahh, 1977 memories.

I just hate anything involving Stallone. I mean if i had to choose, i'd rather watch an Arnie movie any day over any of Stallone's ones...
That is, if i HAD to choose between one of them. At gunpoint.

Rocky told us a lot about humanity, freedom and about being a better man ... oh forget it wrong movie ;) [/url]

Even looking at his [NORTHERN ITALIAN DEROGRATIVE NAME TOWARDS SOUTHERNERS HERE] face makes me puke.

I'm not the biggest Stallone fan myself, but Demolition Man was great. His best movie by far - although I haven't seen Copland.

Ah-nuld is awesome. Check out End of Days. Truly great movie.

You're not serious, are you?

I very much enjoy Arnold movies, he got much better at acting as his career progressed.

Arnold classics:

Conan the Barbarian (surprisingly good movie with Oliver Stone script)
Terminator series (scifi classics, 2 is one of the greatest movies of all time IMO)
Red Heat
Twins
Predator
True lies

If you like cheesy action movies, Commando is one of the funniest cult classics ever.

Heh, End of Days is Arnold's best movie Tag?

Well, everybody's entitled to their opinion I guess. Is it his best because of him, or the movie itself? The movie was okay, but if we're talking Arnold movies here.. T2, True Lies, and Predator walk all over it.. and that's just for starters!

Don't forget Running Man. I still smile when I have to sign anything ;)

Arnie's earlier movies are better than his later ones. Once he got famous, he also started doing the movies that gave him the biggest paychecks, rather than the best movies. He doesn't seem to be able to tell the difference, and with the possible exception of the Terminator films, his later movies have been pretty average.

IMNSHO, both he and Stalone need to find someone to write them some good old sci-fi actioner type movies, and stop pretending they are "artistes".

Yeah, The 6th Day (or something like that) was absolutely useless. Same for that other one, the Eraser (or something like that...). End of days was "ok"...

I agree that Terminator 2 was one of the best movies ever made, but admittedly not because of Arnie. Actually it was great because the other actors' performances were fantastic for a sci-fi movie (usually very very cheesy). Especially Sarah Connor (can't remember the actress's name ATM) and the liquid-terminator thingy...

I also truly enjoyed True Lies, especially cause it was one of the few action movies that made me laugh quite a lot, kinda like the Die Hard series and most of Bruce Willis's action movies... Which to me means a lot cause Bruce is my idol..

Looks like trouble again:

Indiana Jones 4 screenplay writer Frank Darabont explained to Ain't It Cool News why his script didn't get green lighted from George Lucas.

"The short and simple version of the Indiana Jones 4 situation is that after more than a year of working closely with Steven Spielberg developing the story, I had completed a screenplay that Steven loved and was hoping to shoot in July of this year. However, George Lucas had issues with the script and slammed on the brakes in order to rework the material himself. There is talk of enlisting another writer. Given that George is the producer, but even more so because of their long and close friendship, Steven is deferring to George in this situation.

It is now up to them to try to find a common ground regarding the film. I wish them luck and hope their efforts result in something they're both excited about shooting. What, if anything, might remain of my work at the end of the process is anybody's guess, assuming the film even gets made at this point. As for me, I'm disappointed, but I'm putting the experience behind me and moving on with my life and my own projects."

TheForce.net heard some rumblings about the current state of Indiana Jones 4 and its script. They received news that the project is not dead as many people have feared. Here follows the rumors that TheForce.net has received:

The 4th Indiana Jones was indeed stalled because of problems with the script. From what we gather the script didn't satisfy the "3 principals." From what we can tell, Lucas is taking the hit for this despite the fact that those in the know making no mention of Lucas specifically as the source of the problem.

We believe that Paramount has pushed the release date back a year, from July 4th weekend 2005 to 4th of July 2006. There is still "every reason to believe" the film will get made, despite the growing concern for ages.

Thanks to TheForce.net and Jared Barrett for the good news.
And remember folks, this is still a rumor!

:devilish:
Raise your hands if you think George Lucas is an ass...

Well, an ass I don't know. But as for recent times I'd sure rather trust Spielberg over Lucas for judging scripts, for sure!

Apropos movies in development, did you all know that Far Cry(as in the game) is in development for a motion picture already?

T2 was good not because of Ahnuld, not because of Linda Hamilton, not because of Edward Furlong, but because of Robert Patrick. He was such a badass in that movie--even if you forget the liquid metal bit, he's scary just to have on the screen. A big part of that is because he doesn't talk at all (except for that one line where he kills the first cop, I think)... but whatever. T-1000 was the best part of that movie.

And before somebody goes, "TOTAL RECALL! BEST MOVIE EVER!", I will reply with "Everything Paul Verhoeven makes is trash." Well, Peter Weller is pretty good (anyone who's seen the short-lived Odyssey 5 can agree with that), but Total Recall. Man. What an ugly movie, what a stupid movie, and how unsatisfying in every regard. And Starship Troopers--you know, the book is stupid, but it's ridiculously entertaining. The movie got rid of the best parts of the book (powered armor, no weapons except flamethrowers, grenades, and nuclear rockets, stuff blowing up REAAAAAL good, no romance to distract from stuff blowing up real good, etc.) and threw it out. Oh well, such is life.

Somebody needs to make a Snow Crash or Diamond Age movie. Except, if they made a Snow Crash movie, Vin Diesel would play Hiro Protagonist. *shudder*
