I need fans.

Don't care, still hate it. :p

Then never veer into the higher-performing part market because non-RGB options often don't exist. I could not find DDR5 of the specification/size combo I wanted without RGB onboard. And because I wanted the easily configurable Lian-Li UNI SL120 fans, I could only source those in RGB versions.

You can disable it all, obviously. I dare-say it might come in useful if diagnosing problems. I.e, it's quite easy to have some LEDs only glow change colour with higher CPU and GPU usage, or the FAN LEDs glow brighteer as the RPM rises giving you a very visual idea of how hard your system is pushing pushed.
