HP Pavilion. Help.

If anyone can give advice. I apologize for my bad english.

Need advice about a desktop. I know is expensive but assembly is not an option to me. Right now dont have the exact specs for the components.

Also its been sold at a store.

SO how bad of a deal is this:

CPU: Athlon XP 3000
RAM: 512
HD: 80 GB
Video: Geforce 64 MB, probably MX
Monitor: NOt included
DVD burner/CD burner combo
Windows XP.

Finally im guessing is one of those refurbished Pavilions. Is this risky?

Hi,

The price is a big factor of course. :) Also, does the system come with any kind of warantee? I found when I was ordering computers for my university, that of all the pre-built computers there, the dells really seemed to work the best. (Though the IBM workstation we had was very reliable too).

I guess it really comes down to the price, and how much you want to pay.

Sorry, forgot the important part.

The price is a steep 820 US. I know is bad deal but is it overkill?

Thanks for answering.

I don't know your location, but that is a very expensive price for that system in the US. I think you would be better off with one of the dell systems at the link karlotta provided, or even buying something off of ebay for $300-400.
