Yes, I'm in the PC games section - please don't lynch me! (BTW : I love the angelic music that plays here, and the white scenery, and how everyone's forehead seems that much larger than I'm used to...)
As for my quandry, I found an old boxed set of the UFO games in the loft and thought I'd play Enemy Unknown (XCOM:UFO Defense) on DOSBox. However it turned out to have been updated to run on Windows 98, and doesn't run. It all looks to be okay - sound, mouse, it's interactive - except the screen is scrambled. It also switches to full screen and renders the display spread across three stripey images with some corruption. I've tried the compatibility settings but it's the same results with or without. Short of a '98 VM, which is more trouble than I can be bothered with, does anyone know of a way to get this disc running on Win 7?
