On a pentium 4 2.6 gig with a 400 mhz FSB. Just wondering, since I have a friend who had a 2 ghz p4, and SDR ram.(and a motherboard that didn't support DDR, stupid i845) Well, he decided he was going to upgrade his cpu, but I've pretty much convinced him that he'll need a new motherboard and DDR ram. But I'm not sure if there would be a big enough difference between DDR ram at 333 and DDR ram at 400. I'm fairly certain his computer isn't fast enough to make good use of the extra bandwidth, but would the sychronous clocks increase speed by a worthy percentage?
How big of a difference would PC3200 make over PC2700...
