help 3 vid cards

Please be more mature than this. How would you feel if you needed help with something and someone told you to give up and move on to something else and imply you were too dumb to figure it out.

I applaud 2008IIU for not lashing out at the comments directed at him here.
He can lash out all he wants, he is still putting a square peg in a round whole. Your comment was typical of your style.... all ways budding in...

Thanks to everyone who offered help.

It turns out that I can't get the 8800gt to work alongside either one of the 2 ati cards to work.

So I ordered an Asus pci-e x1 ppu, and I have my X1650 GT iceq and HD 4850 1GB iceq4 in, and I can disable whichever one I don't want to be recognized and install/uninstall whichever drivers are/aren't necessary, but actually i'm just going to keep the 4850 enabled in vista 64 with the x1650 gt iceq disabled, and then vice-versa in my xp install.

it's for that 16bit dithering issue.
by the way, I would use a Voodoo5 PCI rather than a Voodoo3. or given that money is no concern you can have a Voodoo5 6000 on an AGP to PCI converter :).
Voodoo5 gives the better 16bit@22bit. but if you're crazy on IQ, its texturing filtering (bilinear only) is only good with 4x AA and LOD -1.5. Which is a heavy setting due to the AA, but then the textures are really great.

The PPU thing looks more crazy to me. 2008 IQ, you should cancel that order on the Asus PPU. a piece of hardware that will run one or two tech demos and will be too slow for any future game that can use it, it's next to useless.

I thought that it had the same compatibility as the geforce 8 series.

Don't they use the same driver code and physics engines?
