Gah, well all I can think of when I read Anand's review of the thing is...how high a PPD can I hit with the 18-core/36-thread version?!?!!!11

Crazy stuff. I wonder if the Mac Pro will get the 18 core version this year or if it'll max out at the second-highest, like last year.

The highest performance machine we have is a dual 8 core 2687w with 256gb..
That is a monster machine.

8 cores @ 4GHz is a success! Ran prime95 for 10 hours and no errors or reboots!
