Unfortunately it's not.
In photo mode (final part with camera settings) there is added RTAO and RT reflections to the whole scene, not just on the cars. It's applied to every surface and material (of course aside of transparent ones, because they are completely disabled from the game) and are overall more visible than the standard cube maps and planar reflections used otherwise.

All of the updates and DLC cars, tracks, new race events are free and the cars can be bought with the in-game earned currency. The game does have MTX also if you don't want to grind races, so you can buy more in-game credits with real money. People were complaining of MTX but I much prefer it this way to have everything for free post-launch instead of force-paid DLC packs. They made the game less grindy after the initial backlash of MTX where it did feel more grindy than previous GTs.

Wonder if GT8 will get revealed in 2026 or 2027 based on previous history. GT6 release 2013 - GTsport reveal 2015. GTsport release 2017 - GT7 reveal 2020. GT7 release 2022 - GT8 reveal ???
The car models are so good they can be reused, but I imagine PD is probably busy rebuilding most of the tracks which is why we don't have as many new DLC tracks which would have been made again for ps4 cross-gen.
