    Ever been to Kansas? (aka Nebraska?) Either have nothing but 90 degree intersecting highways, nearly no trees (lots of corn) and, from a fatigue standpoint, represent half the drive from Colorado to Washington DC :)

    At least you can while away a minute or so guesstimating the distance with the taxicab metric. :)
