I've long been fascinated with the Lucidlogix tech, I'd love to see it working and mainstream!

So will this allow, for example, P67 based motherboards to be able to use the full media features of the sandybridge whilst having full switching between the SB gpu and the PCIe GPU on demand?

No clue. I'm hopeful that it'll magically allow you to plug in up to four viddy cards of any make/manufacturer and get them to play together nicely.

Of course I'm also hopeful that santa will be good to me this year...

So, you're really excited about a technology but have no idea what is does :D

This Virtu stuff is another licence cost that you as a customer will have to eeat up, next to the SLi license. While nVidia already announced and AMD will follow soon their own solution, which will come for free. I am waiting for a solution that will allow the GPU fan to be turned off while the GPU sleeps.

I'm curious, I make the interpretation that this hybrid EFI bios is an amalgamation between EFI and old crappy bios, in which case I don't want hybrid EFI nothing. I want plain EFI. Period...

Also, I'm a bit of a loss trying to understand what that press release is selling. Is it basically seamless switching between integrated and external graphics hardware?
