Game saves sharing apparently easy to do on PS3

http://myresistance.net seems to track users by PSN account name and MAC address, as it requires you to enter this in order to enable your profile/stats tracking on the website.

Are you saying the game save files embed your PN ID details and MAC address of your PS3?

ps3gamesaves.net has a nice collection of game saves. Only thing is, you wonder how long it will be around and whether it can scale to host tons of files and downloads.

gamefaqs.com should be a more permanent store for PS3 game save files but they don't post the files right away, go through some kind of review process, which might not be a bad idea in case there are malware developed.

No. I mean they require you to enter your MAC address to validate your account, so obviously they are tracking it on their servers.
