cash or loan the dev like MS did with earlier tales game, the dev have to pay them back after the game is released anyway. Or be like nintendo, just pay for all the marketing cost in certain region like what they did with monster hunter trii, could have used that to promote the game and their system at the same time. Guess last few FFgames must have sold better on PS3 enough and this time around they got the cheapest system; they are confident that it won't matter if its multi platform either way.

FINAL FANTASY XV:

Looks like it will be more male focused game but Square Enix will follow fans’ feedback.

It felt natural to bring the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as long as Final Fantasy XIII and XI were already released for both consoles.

The game will be very action based and less RPG. They feel that the new direction fits better to XV. Every FF is different, right?

Releasing sequels for XV is possible because the universe of the game is huge.

The main staff of Versus didn’t change significantly after changing the title number and moving to the next-gen development.

In new trailer Noctis is swimming underwater in the leviathan battle scene.

The city looks like a modern city with Venetian like architecture.

Stealth will likely be included in the game like in Lightning Returns.

The combat is very similar to Kingdom Hearts.

No. No. No.... just fucking NO.
After versus make a completely new world, Sequels have no place in final fantasy games.
 
Sequels are fine as long as they aren't preordained sequels. Forcing a bad game down our throat multiple times is insulting a great one not so much,
 
They need to release directfeed trailer for this, livestream quality was garbage.

BTW, game looks magnificent. Cant wait to finally get my hands on it.
 
If they manage to make a FF game that resembles more DMC than FF, but with all the depth and levelling up of a typical FF game, then i'm very excited about this.

The ingame footage reminded me more of DMC, which to me is a good thing.

versus was new world with old asset.

its still use crystal as a main point in storyline etc (same with ff 13 132 133)

FFXIII , FF-type zero and Versus XIII ( FFXV) all share the same theme, the crystals.
They are all part of the same universe but at different period of time and world Nomura said.

FF-type zero was considered to be in the past.
FFXIII set in a more futuristic world

FFXV is a more modern world. with a darkest plot and a kind of romeo and juliet twisted scenario
and some kind of elements like Magick vs technology
but with dragons, behemots and summons still part of the FF universe ( as seen with leviathan in the trailer ).
Nomura said years ago also that we will have to fight the summons to earn them. Maybe like in FFVIII.

As for the Xbox One, Yoshida said Square Enix hasn't ruled it out yet, although publishing to Sony's consoles allows Square Enix to keep all versions on the same server.

"I personally don't like saying no to anything, and I'd like to keep that option open," he said. "We want this game on as many systems as possible and get the game into the hands of as many players as possible, so we won't say that we won't do it.

"But if we published to Xbox One right now, it would essentially be an Xbox only community," he added. "In Japan the Xbox is not as popular as it is in America, and maybe you only have a few thousand people who maybe really love Final Fantasy and are playing the Xbox version. But because it's a closed community, you only have this tiny community that is not allowed to play with the rest of the world, and you worry how you're going to retain that community. An MMO is built on its community, and if it's weak, then what is the point?"

watching the high bitrate video from gamersyde.... im confused which one is the gameplay / video.

some scene that looks like CG video have subtle aliasing. But some scene that im absolutely sure its CG, have zero aliasing.
crazy.
