Or perhaps by setting the ai to the highest lvl my athlon xp 2500+ quickly hides in a corner and waits for death to come for it ?
By raising the ai my framerates drop.
I don't think a 700mhz celeron is going to be able to handle the graphics and the ai which is among the best i've ever seen in a game .
Really? Is that what makes even my A64-powered system cry? Far...cry? And i thought it was the masochistic stubborness of keeping the settings to VERY HIGH....

it has to be the cpu. I can turn all the graphics up and put 6xfsaa and 16 aniso on my x800xt and get the same frame rates. I put on the highest ai and my frame rates drop
You might need a new card

What graphics card do you have?
jvd said:London boy I figured out why you don't have problems with the ai sucking cpu cycles . You set it auto configure so the ai gets smarter or dumber depending on how well u play. So the cpu has tons of cycles left over considering how much u suck at life !!!
