Fans run durinig standbye

Well the title says it all and it is driving me nuts. I tried not allowing USB devices to bring me from standby, phoned my mobo manufacturer (gigabyte), and have tried every available power scheme in XP pro with no results.

Any help would be appreciated. THX

What standby state is configured in the BIOS (S1 or S3)?

Aha good question thats something I didnt check.

What would "stanbye state" be labeled as, or would it infact be standbye state.

I think it would be ACPI Standy mode, or something like that. Most BIOSes I've come across default to S1.
