Eye Toy

I'm looking to get one of these when they come out in the US.

What would be 2 of the best/better games to get, and why?

Speng.

So far there has been one Eyetoy game, which has 12 mini-games on it. In the near future there will be two additional Eyetoy games released, but I'm not sure if they are just collections of mini-games or not.

The next one to be released is: Eyetoy Groove and will feature another set of minigames.

Didn't I see something about Eyetoy support in MGS3 and other "real" game titles?

Hopefully it'll be something that goes beyond putting an image of your face (or some other hairy body part - brrrrr!) on your character...

Actually, it's based around rhythm game action. And it's quite funny and innovative. Eye Toy allows "musical movements" otherwise impossible, like following a moving "sound icon" around the screen with the hand or gently move the hand over a "banana shaped" icon.

You will be surprised about how cool it is.

Eye Toy is cool, but pretty limited.

Works well as a party game with friends like Samba De Amigo.

Looking forward to EyeToy Groove.

o.o So... what the heck is this eye toy thing? *is clueless*

It is webcam + some algorithm of detection of motion. You appear on screen a,d when you move your body you can interact with the game you have been put in. Current games are just minigames, like 'Hit the Mole'

Wait for MGS3. You will have to dress up with something with colors similar to those of the environment Snake is in, in order to up you chances of not being spotted by the enemy.

The lil camera will detect *your* colors and create a campoulage pattern based on those colors over Snake's 3D model. So if you dress red Snake will dress red too.

j/k + wishful thinking :)

 what if I was to play MGS3 naked? Would Snake be also naked then 8)
Edit: That just gave me the idea to try playing Eye Toy nude, I guess that could increase my score in that Kung Fu game (those Ninjas attacking from below can be hard to hit :) )

I know it's getting cold up there, but you better cut back on that vodka a bit... 8)

It doesn't matter if I have to play nude as long as I don't have to wear that funny crocodile hat.

Video Messaging with the Eyetoy.

Has anyone used this?

Speng.
The 'Video Messaging' in EyeToy works so that you can record short (up to minute or two, if I remember correct) video clips to the mem-card, and send it to your friend by regular mail.
There's not yet internet video messaging with EyeToy.
