no wonder the game doesn't feel the same. They must have reduced stuff so that they can make just one version for all machines. Adding extra stuff for PC or removing and optimising each area for consoles has to be a lot of work. Guess, they went for : lets optimise for consoles and it will anyways look better on PC.

 

So, the BFG edition lookds worse than the vanilla Doom 3? let alone sikkmod and wulfen textures !

bfg has been brightened, also seems to lack af

 

The brightening looks really bland and kills the atmosphere completely. Also, textures look so bad for a remake ! I bought the original Doom 3 and ROE on Steam and will be downloading the sikkmod for a true BFG edition !

 

Not sure why but YT uploaded it as 480P rather than 720P.

Amazing graphics imo for an open world sandbox!
I think those are from beta, it looks very good!



The videos are available in 1440p, and it looks amazing. Only thing that is quite bad at this point is the lod constantly loading assets in view.

 

Jarring really... haven't seen pop in that bad in a long time.

 

But you have to admit the lighting is very good!

 

Yes, it reminds me of Two Worlds 2. That game had very similar looking (and quite good) graphics.
