Cast your votes. England are going in as favourites, but as Saturday's game showed, there's always room for surprises...

I thought cricket for a second.

If that were the case I guess the English have no chance against us.

Hee Hee Hee. Given the form lately in most sports, it probably doesn't matter :)

(Ducks to avoid the abuse from English colleagues... but wonders who the Scottish, Welsh, Irish, French, and Kiwi colleagues will support)

Mind you, I half expected NZ and France to win on the weekend - shows how much I know!

I'm going for England, they never win anything anymore, so it would be nice to see them finally score a win in one of the games they invented. :)

Having said that, they're going to butcher the final. It'll be worse than watching paint dry. :?

The Jocks, Micks, Taffs and Frogs will all support the Ozzies of course, as the one thing that unites them is their hatred of the English (but, meh, who cares ;) ).

I'm guessing the Kiwis will probably try to persuade themselves that the 3rd place play-off game on Thursday is the *real* final.

Frankly, IMO, England are in a no-lose siutation. Australia are on home turf, and hence must be favourites, so losing is no real disgrace.

We're also in a no-win situation, because even if we do win all the old "boring England, blah, no tries, blah, etc." will be trotted out by all the supporters of the teams who have already left Australia and are sitting at home now on the grounds that they LOST. :p

The best sportsmen are bread in Australia.

Ian Thorpe, Dawn Fraiser, Cathy Freemen, Lleyton Hewitt and Karrie Webb to name only a few. :D

The effects of the Miracle Gro the Wallabies drank in order to beat the All Blacks are bound to wear off.

Even though the fact that England was unable to score a single try against France is quite worrying, I still think the odds are (at least) 2:1 for an England victory.

Cheers

Well, in the Aussie vs Kiwi semi-final, Australia only managed to score one try and that was from an interception so they haven't exactly got all that much to shout about! :p

The conditions in the England vs France game weren't exactly conducive to running the ball, either. All this stuff about "England are boring, blah blah" sounds as though the Aussies are a bit worried to me!

Personally, though, I've a nasty feeling that England are going to bottle it. :(

England are in a much better position going into the game. More likely than not I think they'll win it. Then again, I thought the Kiwis were gonna smash the Wallabies - and was pleasantly surprised.

But one things for sure, if Oz play as hard and clever as they did last Sat it will be one corker of a match. Can't wait for it!

The team that has the most players crying during their anthem will win.

My money's on England, wet or dry!

MuFu.
